More Window Treatments ~ Thanks Julea

Thanks to Julea Joseph and her recent post on window treatments (http://activerain.com/blogsview/315492/Window-Treatments-Large-Window) I thought I'd post one of my own recent completions.

This job came about through our newspaper here on Long Island (Newsday), when they decided to do a feature in May of this year on "The Empty Room".  I was one of three decorators that worked with a couple of families to help them with empty rooms in their homes.  Whether it was the kids were grown and moved out, or people who moved into new homes and just didn't know what to do with the rooms.  The feature only went as far as ideas, but this homeowner contacted me afterwards to actually do the work.

We picked out color, furnishings, lighting, an area rug and had the window treatments made.  I am just showcasing the window treatments in this post.  I took the before pictures at the time I met with them for the newspaper feature, but we didn't actually get started until September.

I hope you enjoy them.  I had a really good time working on this project and the client was a pleasure to deal with.
